Conservation begins with understanding what’s out there.

 

I use spatial analysis, maps, and scientific writing to convey the essential facts of a given issue, but to truly understand what’s out there, we need to dig in beyond empirical evidence and personally explore these places. Here are a few recent trips and some of the ways Alaskan conservation lands have become personally resonant.
